Hello! My name is Danielle Gzebb, I am the Family & Victim Support Liaison here at Candace House.
I was born and raised in Winnipeg, am a bereaved parent, very proud mom to my surviving children and dedicated dog lover.
I came to know Candace House in 2019, while providing support to Christine Wood's family during the court trial process. From the first day arriving at Candace House, I knew that I wanted to give back to the program - and am grateful for the opportunity today to be part of the team.
Prior to Candace House, I worked as a Community Support Worker liaising with community and government agencies providing direct services, referrals and support to students, families and caregivers in Winnipeg's Inner City. I have enjoyed many years as a volunteer within various local community groups that serve to advocate and care for our most vulnerable people and their families.
When not supporting families, making lists and entertaining Candace House Directors with my lack of basic computer skills - I enjoy collecting books to one day read, enthusiastically supporting the APHA U11 A3 girls hockey (Go Bears!), cooking for those who love to eat, spending quality time with my family and friends, and enjoying the outdoors in every season other than Winter.
