Candace House is one large step closer to becoming a reality as we are excited to announce in connection with Victims and Survivors of Crime Week, that Suite 1B - 183 Kennedy will become the first home for Candace House- a first of its kind space and service in Canada.
Absolutely central to fulfilling our mission is a location within very close proximity to the Winnipeg Provincial Law Courts, and we’ve found it.
Just two minutes away from the doors of the Law Courts, this location is a main floor, private entry, physically accessible space. Design and construction planning is currently underway to transform this facility into a safe place for victims and survivors of crime, and to begin offering services by spring of 2018.
